my desk’s bestfriend

December 13, 2009

working crazy, i mean.. working late…! is not good for your health. definately. well, this week is such a crazy week. working late almost everyday. have holiday only on my saturdY. checkout this little cute cracker box. i bought mnm chocolate. and got his red case. now i put anykind of mini crackers or snack to accompany my ooofice day. my desk’s best friend, humm my tummy exactly:D
just for sharing with you guys. living too long in office is definately making more fat to your tummy. you just eat and think and sit and eat and staring at your monitor. one little tip gor us, perhaps if you really keen on chewing something all the time, easily get hugry all the time. just provide small crakers on your desk. just to satisfy your short term mood of chewing something. and just take them one to to pieces at one time. try to reduce its frequency bit by bit. hopefuly can maintain your weight tho you stay more in office. hahaha..
hemm and one thing, try more to healthy cracker not the one kindda chocolate! its fatty. i think. well, iam hardly trying to let my chocolate go..T,T πŸ˜€

aidil adha in sultan mosque

November 27, 2009

assalamualaikum everyone.. salam hari raya hajj, salam aidil adha.. happy ied for all of us..^^

this morning i could manage to go to sultan mosque to have moment of hari raya hajj in singapore. last year i went to indonesian embassy, so this year, decided!, this full of moment mosque^^
humm moment??.. hee.. firstly, i eventually visit and pray here in many my times. secondly, this is such an iconic mosque of singapore. i just love the feeling of this unique architecture that is much influenced by local and hindi architecture, and the feeling of its sorrounding just hospitally human scale. just love it. a nice and warm environment.

accompanied boyfriend to pray, having period, i could grabs some pictures to share wif you…;)

Sultan mosque, Kampong Glam. Singapore.

Prayers attending mosque, and pray together. Men is fullfilling the mosque floor areas, until the second floor which initially was occupied by women. women is occupying the hall beside the main building of this mosque. they provide more shelter for more prayers.

Those two pictures above i took in a very happening moment. just right at the time..^^ (*gladly) Those youngsters is actually a bit late attending the praying. Saw the mosque in this side is full, they straightly lay their wide scarf over the floor. but one of them, just forgot to take off his shoes..:) Interesting. Nice picture, ain’t it?^^

After pray.

Goats for kurban. you can ibadah kurban for about 250 sgd per person.
those goats are filly. see the leather? definately not breed in singapore. my friend said they come from australia. not yet read the real article about it^^
do singapore its own goat husbandary?:D

Preparing for food for prayers. and in preparing to manage the meat distribution of kurban.

Some just got luck in business. Taking advantage from morning times and many prayers come, these guys just almost sold out their newspaper. people just come right away after praying to them. some bought more than one tittle of newspaper. whooww.. what a day for the vendor, isn’t it?;)

Another i noticed was, the clothes! many cultures, many types of clothes the prayers wear. but, one thing clearly seen is the men. for local singaporean malay, in a big day of religious day, they ussualy wear type of saman clothes. not sure what they call for this type. the clothes ussually comes with one bright plain colour, patternless. and they encomplete it with folded sarong for the half upper pants, like wearing skirts. ussually they waer hhe same colour fir certain groups like one family.

Hindi clothes, combined with scarf worn by hindi women.

Local singaporean malay boys wearing its traditional clothes in big day of hariraya hajj.

again! selamat hari raya haji for us;)

reserved

“this area is resrved for friday prayers”. this is a corridor in mosque of masjid moulana mohamed ali in singapore. this mosque is located below the tower of UOB in clarkquay. only a signage indicating that there is a mosque in the basement. once we stepping down through the staircase, those words in picture is welcoming you. same thing like in indonesia, during the friday prayers ussually the prayers that comes to mosque is blowing. they use this gate. but the way they reserve by writing it down on in advance is quite interesting:)

bakiak

November 21, 2009

i found this so-i-call bakiak in a mosque in singapore. they provide this sandals for prayers to wear when having ablutions. this type of sandals ussually comes with wood for its material. well, this sandals also, but they cover it with aluminium sheet for finishing. quite interesting to make me to have it’s photo taken. but still wondering, why should they put this material for its top layer, isn’t it a bit making you more slippery??:?

dear landlord

November 16, 2009

whole week OT. 3 weeks ago got news from landlord, said that we have to move out from house. “what??!” shocking. the reason?, they said they wanna use back the house. child’s new school just nearby the house. shocking, cos we rent it for two years contract. it’s not yet even 1 year..! then? they’re goibg to give back our 2 years deposit. ok that’s normal. but they dont give us any compensation while they their side is breaking the respected aagreement of contract. we’re now still struggling for at least we got back our half year contract of agency fee.. we paid for two years contract agency fee maaa…:u
